Believe Digital will be heading to Austin, Texas tomorrow to join the musical craze that is SXSW. We’re excited to meet up with new and old friends, and support our artists who will be playing throughout the week. Here’s a selection of Believe artists that will be participating in this week’s festivities:

Laura Stevenson: This Brooklyn singer/songwriter from Don Giovanni Records will be playing a few shows at SXSW off the momentum from her recent February release, Runner EP. We recommend her show at Holy Mountain Backyard, 617 E. 7th Street on Wednesday at 9 p.m.

Waxahatchee: Also on Don Giovanni, Waxahatchee is an early “breakout” musician of 2013 with her well-received release, Cerulean Salt. She’s on just about everyone’s SXSW must-see lists, so she should be on yours, too. She plays after labelmate Laura Stevenson at Holy Mountain at 12:20 a.m. Wednesday night.

Mitzi: Australia’s Mitzi is a band on Future Classic that produces warm dance tunes. They’re great for an evening on an Austin rooftop, and guess what? They’re playing a rooftop show on Friday night at midnight at 408 Congress Avenue!

Chico Mann: The sounds of Africa have taken multi-instrumentalist Chico Mann—a k a Marcos García—all over the world. So it?s ?tting that after spending years learning to speak Afrobeat, albeit with a Cuban accent, Soundway Records’ Chico Mann has employed several dialects to make a larger musical statement. Mr. Mann will also be at Holy Mountain…he’s doing a DJ set at 8 p.m. on Friday.

California X: Another one of Don Giovanni’s gems, California X is a fantastic live band that is worth a listen. They’re playing a free showcase from the guys at Exploding in Sound (record label and blog). The event will take place all day at The Grackle, and California X is going on at 2:30 p.m.

GHXST: An intriguing grunge/metally/punk NYC band that works with CLUB.THE.MAMMOTH. (label) that’s garnered some extra attention in the last year. We recommend their Thursday night show at 1 a.m. at Townhouse at 303 W. 5th Street.

Delorentos: Dublin-based Delorentos is currently being hailed as one of Ireland’s finest and most imaginative bands. They just self-released their third album and have had a ton of attention from big publications and radio stations in the U.K. They’re playing at the International Day Stage at the Austin Convention Center on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Kidnap Kid: This Black Butter artist is one of the most buzzed-about electronic artists from England. He’s currently touring the U.S. in support of his latest single, “So Close.” He first made a name for himself last year with his big single “Veil,” which received an iTunes “Best of 2012″ title. We recommend his Thursday night show at 10 p.m. at Blackheart, 86 Rainey Street.

Enjoy SXSW, everyone!
